Just a short one on how the little things make you feel amazing.
Every now and then, we all need a little pick me up. Being a busy mum, (and kinda’ lazy) means that I dont wear make up every day, and rarely actually even wear make up.
Last week was my birthday,my roots were as long as a giraffes neck, and I needed sorting out. So I decided to hed to the hairdresser’s and ask to be turned ash blonde, after three sessions in two days, we got out the colour book and I came out grey…I love it! A huge pick me up…
Even just visiting the hairdresser’s, popping a bit of make up on, doing something good for others, can give you a massive boost in life. I now find myself waking up in the morning, getting everything done before lunchtime. I do the school run everyday, sort through e-mails, get home chores done, and still manage to blog and get the camera out.
So my moral of todays blog post, is that if you feel sluggish, go do something positive for yourself…you’ll feel great!

I was recently asked to help out with the #BEMOREYOU campaign for Max Factor. I was asked to try a different look on myself using their products to see what I thought..Now as most people know, I’m really not one to dramatically change my look, especially when it comes to makeup. I like to keep my make up nude, Nude eyes, Nude lips, and a dewey, Nude skin tone nude everything!
So with the campaign, I decided to try more of a pink shade blush, I used Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Nude Mauve Pink, available from Boots at £8.99. I never use Pink blushes, but this really bought out my cheeks, and gave a lovely blushing, summer look.
Im not a fan of bold coloured lips, again I like to keep things Nude, so to mix things up a little differently, I applied Max Factor Pink Brandy 825 lipstick, £6.99. On top of this I added Max Factor Colour Elixir Lustrous Sand, £7.99.
As I’m always whacking on the fake tan, I decided to give it a miss, and go natural and use a foundation to match my natural skin tone, Max Factor kindly matched me up with Max Factor Facefinity 3 in 1 Foundation Natural 50, £9.99.
And the best thing is. It’s all 3 for 2 at Boots! So to have a good make up collection doesn’t have to break the bank. As I dont usually use Max Factor, I know how expensive professional make up collections can be, but now I’ve tried something new, I may struggle to part with my money for more expensive products knowing these are just on my high Street.
